American Roots Concert Series

The American Roots Concert Series welcomes music lovers to enjoy a vibrant array of performances at the beautiful North Beach Amphitheater in Deception Pass State Park. Held from 7-8 p.m., the concerts are free, though a Discover Pass is required for parking. The series features a lineup of talented artists showcasing diverse musical traditions, including the Shifty Sailors with their maritime tunes (July 11), the innovative Finlay MacDonald Duo (July 18), vibrant Andean sounds from SurLlajta (July 25), authentic Bulgarian folk music by the Angel Gadzhev Folk Band (August 1), energetic West African rhythms from Boka Kouyaté & the Djeliyah Band (August 8), traditional bluegrass from Queen’s Bluegrass (August 15), a mix of old-time and folk music by Dream Goats (August 22), and a captivating blend of Afro-Cuban jazz and more from Duende Libre (August 29). Supported by numerous sponsors including the Deception Pass Park Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, this concert series offers a rich cultural experience for all attendees.
