Family Cafe

Join us for a series of engaging Family Cafés and a Virtual Open House hosted by SSD’s FACE team, designed to foster connection, support, and inspiration for anyone involved in a student's life. Family Cafés consist of three guided conversations where caregivers, family members, and trusted adults can come together to exchange ideas, reflect on hopes for their families and students, and discover valuable community resources and strategies in a supportive environment. These inclusive gatherings encourage uplifting discussions and collaboration among families.

The Virtual Open House serves as a welcoming introduction to the Special School District, catering to both new and returning families. Participants will learn about the services and supports offered by SSD, available resources, and how to effectively partner with the district to enhance their student's learning journey. We encourage registration for Family Cafés, and while childcare is not provided, interpreters can be scheduled in advance upon request. Join us in this family-centered space to help build a strong community for our students.
