The Olathe Public Library (OPL) is a two-library system with a website that offers a vast collection of items for checkout, including hundreds of thousands of physical and digital resources. Its mission is to "connect with customers along their journeys of discovery, serve as an anchor in the community, encourage life-long learning, and inspire personal and collective growth." OPL provides services and programming for all ages and stages of life, with dedicated spaces for reading, meeting, studying, and creating. Recognizing that not everyone can visit in person, OPL offers extensive digital resources such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, and databases, as well as a "Library to You" program and a mobile outreach vehicle to bring resources directly to the community. The library emphasizes a commitment to customer experience, aiming to provide timely information with a friendly and positive attitude. OPL also values intellectual freedom, equal access, privacy, discovery, stewardship, innovation, and customer experience, aligning with the City of Olathe's commitment to public service and inclusivity.
