The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Texas Master Gardener program will host a mandatory group interview on July 30 in San Antonio for individuals interested in being part of the intern training class. The cost of the intern training class is $275 and payment and background check are due by Aug. 3. Interested applicants should contact David Rodriguez at dhrodriguez@ag.tamu.edu by July 17. Classes will meet every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., from Aug. 13 until Nov. 19. The Master Gardener program is a volunteer training and development program that equips individuals with research-based horticultural knowledge while promoting educational outreach and community gardening projects. Master Gardener volunteers are passionate community members who receive specialized training and work alongside AgriLife Extension members to provide unbiased gardening information, educational programs and horticultural assistance to the public.
