Details:
Trees around Lake O'Neill don’t just provide homes for insects and birds, they also drop leaves on the ground which decompose and provide food for aquatic insects, which are eaten by fish. Participants will collect leaves and insects to learn about the importance of decomposition in the local food web.
Wear comfortable clothing for sunny outdoor weather. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for walking on sand, and consider a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for sun protection.
