Indigenous Dance Demonstration

Kathy Willcuts and Steven Garcia will perform a variety of Native American dances, including Northern Traditional and shawl dancing. During the event, they will share insights into their tribal history and connections, while also discussing the significance of specific items in their regalia.

 

The workshop will be held outdoors at the Native American Indian Culture Center, near the Chumash Demonstration Village.

 

Reservations are not required.

 

The event and parking are free

 

Please dress in layers to accommodate changing weather conditions and remember to bring a flashlight. For your comfort, we recommend bringing camping chairs or blankets for seating, as only a limited number of picnic tables and chairs will be available.

 

We encourage everyone to arrive early, as there is a short walk from the main parking lot to the Chumash Demonstration Village.
