Join the Shaker Historical Society and our community partners for a week of hands-on history exploration! Campers ages 8–12 will dive into geology, archaeology, textiles, conservation, architecture, and the study of historical landmarks.
The week ends with a special field trip to Cleveland’s iconic Terminal Tower and Public Square, where history comes alive in the heart of the city. No prior knowledge of Cleveland history required, just curiosity and a sense of adventure!
Camp Highlights:
• Monday – Prehistory: Dig into Earth’s ancient past with archaeology & geology
• Tuesday – 19th Century: Learn Shaker fiber arts and create your own textile samples
• Wednesday – 20th Century: Explore Cleveland architecture & urban design with the story of the Van Sweringen Brothers
• Thursday – Our Earth Today: Hands-on environmental activities with Rust Belt Riders
• Friday – Our Past in the Land: Field trip to Public Square & Terminal Tower to see history in action!
