Join us for two captivating events this fall in the Woodstock and Orford areas.
The 7th Annual Sunflower House at Billings Farm in Woodstock, curated by Master Gardener Ben Pauly and Kelly Way Gardens Manager Taylor Hiers, features an awe-inspiring display of over 50 varieties of sunflowers across a sprawling 20,000 square foot area. Visitors can wander through pathways lined with towering sunflower stalks, with some flowers reaching heights of up to 14 feet, while others stand at just 1 foot tall, creating unique “rooms” and “hallways.” This vibrant attraction is open for exploration until September 7.
Meanwhile, delve into the rich history of Orford at the Orford Historical Society Heritage Center Museum. Open Wednesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October 15, the museum offers an opportunity to explore its collection of artifacts and engage with community members, uncovering the fascinating stories that shape Orford's heritage.
Don't miss these wonderful opportunities to enjoy nature and history!
