Interest in making a zine, but don't know where to start? Join us for Make a Mini-Zine on July 29th (registration is required for this event!)
Zines are small handmade mini magazines often decorated with drawings, collaged photos and words. These folded-paper booklets cover topics ranging from a fun whimsical themes to more historical and cultural subjects. In the 1970s, the zine became popular with the punk movement as a way to educate, disseminate information and comment on current events.
In this workshop we will learn how to fold a paper zine, create an outline and begin construction on our personal zine project. This technique is a great way to communicate your thoughts and feelings and practice releasing them onto paper.
No experience necessary. All supplies will be provided.
