Details:
It's brushing time! We're on a mission this year is to bring the Russell Ridge trail back up to spec; clear corridor, proper logout, good drainage, and tread repair. This work party is all about sightlines and opening things up. We'll start at the bottom and work our way up with hedgetrimmers, loppers, hand saws, and rakes...all provided. If you have a backpack that can carry a tool or two, please bring it. Meet at 9am at the barricades where the Wildacat Rd is closed, take care of our safety talk and gear line-up, and then ride up to the work site. Be prepared for one small creek crossing with a steep dirt staircase climb out of it. Please wear long sleeves, pants, and sturdy shoes/boots. Make sure to bring eye protection and gloves as well, and ear protection if you have it. We will have extra ear plugs for anyone who needs them. Don't forget extra water, a lot of snacks, and sunscreen.
