The Sharon Public Library's mission is to serve the informational, educational, cultural, and recreational needs of the Sharon community by providing access to professional staff, a state-of-the-art facility, and quality materials, programs, and services. It aims to be a destination that serves as a civic space, encompassing the roles of a public library, cultural arts center, and civic center. The library supports the community by providing access to information, fostering lifelong learning, and serving as a community hub with resources for all ages and backgrounds. It offers a wide array of programs for all age groups, hosts local cultural events, and supports initiatives like the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) literacy program. The library also provides access to digital resources, technology training, and job search assistance. A new, modern library building opened in May, designed to accommodate the needs of the community with enhanced services and accessibility features.
