Details:
The MPL is holding a series of book discussions around the initiative MA250 Reading the Revolution: 250 Years of Incendiary and Inspiring Books from the Bay State and Beyond. In advance of this session, participants will select and read a book from the Gay Liberation and LGBTQIA Rights reading list. When we get together, we will each get a chance to tell the group about the book we are reading, and discuss the range of perspectives on the revolutionary era and beyond. Click here too see all the Reading the Revolution discussion group dates, topics and reading lists. The Massachusetts Center for the Book (MCB) and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) are pleased to share the Reading the Revolution booklists. This multipart reading list honors the complex history of the American Revolution and our nation's unfolding evolution toward becoming a society where everyone is truly "free and equal." The reading lists feature recommendations from libraries across the Commonwealth. Registration is required and will open three weeks before the event.
