Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. Our 250 celebration continues as we learn more about the history of Boston's famous tourist destination. Please join us at the library (or zoom from home) to hear about this new book. For those who attend in person, light refreshments will be served. Susan will bring copies of all of books for anyone interested in buying copies. About the book: Faneuil Hall opened in 1742 as gift from wealthy merchant Peter Faneuil. It was a meetinghouse and marketplace. While vendors produce, fish, and meat from the first floor stalls, heated debates took place upstairs in the Great Hall. How awesome is it that this place still stands?! About the author: Susan Bregman earned her BA degree from Brown University and an MA degree in city & regional planning from Harvard Kennedy School. After a career in transportation research & policy, Susan returned to her first love, writing & taking photographs-with a focus on New England. Susan is the author of the following books: New England Sweets, New England Neon, New England Candlepin Bowling, and Along Route 1 Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
