3 Ponds Hike with Dan Kunkle

Join LGNC Founder and Director Emeritus Dan Kunkle for a summer hike along the 3 Ponds Trail at LGNC’s Refuge, where we will explore the natural history of the area. Participants of all ages and experience levels are welcome to observe birds, turtles, frogs, dragonflies, and diverse plant life. We aim to spot turtles sunning on platforms, dragonflies hunting mosquitoes, and will have nets to catch insects for a closer look, as well as a dip net to explore the pond water. Please bring your binoculars; extras will be available to borrow. Dress for wet and buggy conditions, and bring water, as this area can be damp.

Please note, the event will not meet at the Osprey House; instead, gather at the D&L East Penn Trailhead (East Penn/Riverview Boat Launch) — directions can be found [here](maps.app.goo.gl/1houLEQK58afAPQHA).
