The Weekend Theater presents William Golding's Lord of the Flies. Written by Nigel Williams, directed by Shaina Tippitt.
Based on the classic novel, Lord of the Flies follows as a plane carrying a group of school children is shot down in the midst of evacuating for war, marooning the children on a tropical island. Without adult supervision, they initially attempt to create a civilized society, but their attempts crumble as they descend into chaos, giving in to their darkest instincts. Lord of the Flies will run July 25 through August 10, with showtimes at 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday nights, and 2:30pm on Sunday afternoons. The lobby will open one hour prior to showtime for patrons to wait. Seating will begin 30 minutes prior to showtimes.
