Book Social: A Reading Party

Hosted throughout the year by the Spencer Art Reference Library, Book Social: A Reading Party is a low-fi night of novel connections. Bring a book of your choice — or borrow one of ours — and settle in with other guests for 30 minutes of independent reading.
Afterward, break for guided prompts and small-group conversation with others. The cycle repeats, blending focused reading time with relaxed social breaks. Themed nights may even send readers roaming through the galleries, on the hunt for connections between their books and art.
Small plates and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase. Come solo or with friends and meet fellow readers in a welcoming, creative environment.
