Details:
Summer in Truckee means getting outside and making the most of everything our mountain community has to offer. Join us for a recreation-focused edition of Good Morning Truckee as we explore the trails, parks, programs, and outdoor opportunities that make our region such a special place to live, work, and play. Whether you're a runner, cyclist, hiker, camper, or simply looking for new ways to enjoy the season, you'll leave with valuable information and inspiration for a summer of adventure.
Speakers:
Corey Caldwell, Executive Director of the Truckee Trails Foundation, will provide updates on local trail projects, recreational opportunities, and efforts to improve and expand Truckee's trail network.
Matt Chappell, Executive Director & Co-founder, Truckee Dirt Union, will discuss the state of mountain biking in the region, trail stewardship, and ways to get involved with the local riding community.
Michael Myers, Executive Director of Sierra State Parks Foundation, will discuss what's new with our Sierra State parks, including new programs, fun events, park improvements, and recreational opportunities available throughout the summer season.
Nonprofit Spotlight:
Our featured nonprofit this month is the Sugar Pine Foundation, dedicated to restoring and protecting sugar pine trees and promoting the long-term health of Sierra Nevada forests. We'll hear from Sarah Green, their Tahoe/Truckee Program Manager.
Come connect with fellow community members and discover new ways to enjoy Truckee's incredible outdoor resources this summer!
