Details:
Step into a newsroom and experience the fast-paced world of breaking news. Inspired by the Museum’s special exhibition On Assignment: Dallas Times Herald 1963, this hands-on family program invites participants to explore how journalists and photojournalists reported the events that shaped history. While activities are designed especially for children ages 7–12, visitors of all ages are welcome.
Â
Families will write headlines, sequence photographs and design a newspaper front page while discovering how reporting, photography and editorial decisions shaped the stories people saw in the newspaper. Each family will leave with a one-of-a-kind newspaper they created.
