Here's his bio: I am a volunteer advocate for DarkSky International, the world recognized authority on light pollution whose mission is to restore the nighttime environment and protect communities and wildlife from the effects of excessive artificial light at night, reducing energy waste, through education and offering common sense strategies to economically reduce the effects of light pollution without compromising human safety. Through their network of over 4,000 advocates and 70 chapters in over 120 countries world wide, DarkSky works to restore and preserve humans' connection to night sky. I became involved with DarkSky International, formerly known as International Dark Sky Association or IDA about 5 years ago. As an amateur astronomer I had noticed that there were not as m
