Details:
Join us for a day of community trail care at our combined work parties in Raging River State Forest and Russell Ridge! This is your chance to give back to the trails you love during the critical brushing season. We’ll be focusing on essential maintenance tasks such as brushing the lowest section of Upward Mobility and revitalizing the Russell Ridge trail for optimal sightlines, drainage, and tread repair.
**Event Details:**
- **Date and Time:** Start at 9:00 AM and end around 1:00 PM, with flexibility based on participant availability.
- **Location:** Meet at the Raging River State Forest parking lot and at the barricades at Wildacat Rd.
- You will need to ride up to the work site with safety talks and gear check at both locations.
**What to Bring:**
- Food and plenty of water
- Sturdy footwear (boots or shoes with traction)
- Long sleeves, pants (not shorts), eye protection, and work gloves
- Tools if you prefer (Evergreen will also provide some)
- Sunscreen, bug spray, and potentially a light rain jacket
We’ll be using hedgetrimmers, loppers, hand saws, rakes, weed whackers, and leaf blowers throughout the day. If you're interested in riding after the work is completed, shuttle options will be available! Bring snacks to keep your energy up, and don't hesitate to reach out with questions. Join us to help make our trails better for everyone!
