Yanks Air Museum, located at Chino Airport in Chino, California, is a non-profit organization dedicated to exhibiting, preserving, and restoring American aircraft and artifacts to illustrate the evolution of American aviation. Founded in 1972 by Charles Nichols, the museum houses one of the largest and most historically significant collections of American aircraft, with over 190 aircraft spanning from 1903 to the 1980s. Many of these aircraft are the last surviving examples of their type, and the museum restores them to airworthy condition using original factory specifications and materials. The collection includes World War II fighters, dive bombers, torpedo bombers, and jets like the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon. In addition to its Chino facility, Yanks Air Museum is developing a second location in Greenfield, California. The museum's mission includes educating the public about aviation history and the science of flight, and it offers opportunities for visitors to learn about the stories behind each aircraft. The museum also engages in restoration projects, with a restoration hangar and boneyard accessible to the public under supervision.
