Strawberries Around the Fountain returns to Eckhart Public Library Park on Thursday, June 4th, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm to kick off six weeks of Read. Do. Explore. programming and fun!
This annual event and important fundraiser is hosted by The Friends of Eckhart Public Library with entertainment being coordinated by Eckhart Public Library.
The Friends will be selling homemade strawberry shortcakes and strawberry milkshakes for $10 each, with a limited supply of dairy free and gluten free offerings as well. 100% of the profits from these sweet treats will be given to the Library to fund all of the library programming and prize books for the following year.
This event is free for the whole family to attend and will feature face-painting, a bounce house, musical entertainment, free hot dogs, The Y on the Fly, PBS Fort Wayne, Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum, horse-drawn wagon rides, and more! A sensory friendly space will also be available inside the library for those in need of a calming space. More information will be added as details are finalized!
In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the gymnasium at McKenney-Harrison Elementary School. If bad weather occurs, the decision to move the event indoors will be made by midday on the day of the event.
