Come and join Teagan Koble and Parker Van Osdale to learn the process of raku firing! They will guide you through creating and glazing raku wares, navigating the firing process, and using a reduction chamber to create beautiful metallic finishes!

This is EITHER a one-session workshop in which participants will bring their own bisqueware to use in a raku firing OR a two-session workshop in which participants will prepare pieces to fire before joining Parker and Teagan for the separate firing day.

If you do not have any bisqueware to bring to the firing day, you can sign up for the “Bisqueware Workshop taking place on Wednesday July 8th from 6:00 - 8:00pm, to make items with Teagan and Parker’s guidance! Teagan will be assisting in wheel-thrown projects while Parker will lead participants in handbuilt pieces.

The raku firing day will be Saturday July 18th from 10:00am - 4:00pm. Teagan and Parker will have information on how glazes will react in a raku fire, giving insight on how to glaze pieces before going outside to fire them.  There will be a potluck lunch (feel free to bring snacks!) and the day will wrap up after all work is fired; expected to be around 4pm.

Each person can fire up to 3 pieces less than 6in in any given direction, or one piece larger than 6in. Ages 18+
