First Wednesday Reader Series presents Dayton novelists Meredith Doench & Erin Flanagan Wednesday, July 1 at 7:00pm at the Westside Bowl, 2617 Mahoning Ave. Delaney Mathew will co-host with an open mic to follow. This reading will be downstairs in the Trophy Room, accessible only by stairs. Meagan Albani will provide ASL interpretation. The First Wednesday Reader Series receives support from POP! Meredith Doench is the author of the Luce Hansen sapphic thriller series and the stand-alone novels, Whereabouts Unknown and Never Say Die. Meredith is an avid armchair detective and amateur web sleuth who loves all things mystery. She’s also a board member of Mystery Writers of America, Midwest Chapter and a principal lecturer of creative writing and literature at the University of Dayton in Ohio. Erin Flanagan is the author of five books, including Deer Season, winner of the 2022 Edgar for Best First Novel, and the most recent Come with Me. She’s held fellowships at The Bread Loaf and Sewanee Writers’ Conferences, Yaddo, and The MacDowell Colony, and is a professor at Wright State.
