June is Alzheimers and Brain Awareness Month, so theres no better time to get the scoop on aging, brain health, and dementia than now. Join us for Alzheimers/Dementia 101 - Research to Risk Reduction to learn everything you need to know about this important topic. During this program, we will discuss the latest regarding promising research, treatments and blood tests. The session will conclude with an overview of the ten real things we can all do at any age to reduce our risk for dementia. Registration is required for this program. Details provided below. After a corporate management career, JJ Jordan reinvented herself in the field of Alzheimers/Dementia after three of four parents in her family were diagnosed with the disease. She was their family care partner for 16 years. JJ lectures and teaches regarding dementia topics and is a part time associate with a business psychology firm serving as their client dementia coaching and training provider. She is also a member of the Dementia Action Coalition for the Colorado Department of Public Health. She is the Community Chair for Dementia Friendly Denver, and has been a volunteer for the Alzheimers Associations for over 20 years, serving on their Board of Directors and as a Public Policy Ambassador to Capitol Hill.
