Nature Exploration: Lake Appreciation

Join Prospect Park Alliance for family-friendly nature fun. In July, celebrate Brooklyn’s only lake by exploring underwater wildlife up close with magnifying glasses. 
Pond Water Discovery, 10–3 pm: Did you know that an entire community of living insects, plants and animals makes the park’s waterbodies their home? Get a closer view with one of our park naturalists.
Animal Encounter, 1–2 pm: Get up close with our fascinating collection of water-dwelling creatures like turtles and fish. Learn fun facts about their habitats, adaptations and roles in the ecosystem.
Nature on the Go!, 2–3pm: Enjoy a nature walk along Brooklyn’s only Lake and help lend a hand to your park by removing litter along the way.
