This tour highlights the plight of Black Loyalists—many of whom were Black Brooklynites who fought for the British during the American Revolution to gain their freedom. After the war, they sought refuge in Nova Scotia, fearing for their rights in the new nation. The Centre passionately interprets and preserves their history and heritage.
