Summer START: Color
Art in Conversation: The Making of an Exhibition offers a behind-the-scenes look at how an exhibition comes together.
Focusing on the Taubman Museum of Art’s new exhibition, 75th Anniversary: New Visions for the Permanent Collection, Curator Laura K. Higgins will take you on a guided tour to share how she made key decisions, including where to place artwork and how color and design help to tell an exhibition’s story.
You’ll learn what tools and process the curatorial team uses to plan an exhibition before it is installed, and leave with new insight into how exhibitions are shaped and how those choices influence the way we experience art.
Registration for the tour is required.
Members: Free | General Public: $8
Stick around after the tour to enjoy the Museum’s new Front Porch Music Series featuring regional artist Seph Custer! Taking place on the Museum Patio, you can purchase beer, wine, or other treats to enjoy in an inspiring outdoor space. It’s free and welcoming to all!
