🌀 Pottery Wheel Camp (Ages 11–17)
Ready to level up? Our Pottery Wheel Camp is designed for ages 11–17 and offers a full week of immersive, hands-on instruction using our full-sized professional pottery wheels—the same wheels used by adult students in our studio. We are also adding a hand building component to the class.
This camp is perfect for tweens and teens who are curious about clay, love working with their hands, and are ready to build real skills in a focused, supportive environment.
🗓 Camp Format

Ages: 11–17
Duration: Full week (Monday–Friday)
Attendance: Full-week registration required

Because pottery wheel skills develop through repetition and practice, this camp is intentionally structured as a full-week experience. Each day builds on the previous one, allowing campers to gain confidence, improve technique, and truly experience the rhythm and satisfaction of working on the wheel.
🎨 What Campers Will Learn
Throughout the week, campers will:

Learn proper wheel throwing techniques on full-sized wheels
Practice centering clay, pulling walls, shaping forms, and refining details
Explore trimming, surface design, and finishing techniques
Develop patience, focus, and problem-solving skills through hands-on practice
Create multiple pottery pieces that will be fired and ready for pick-up after camp

This camp emphasizes process over perfection, encouraging campers to learn from mistakes, try again, and celebrate progress—skills that translate far beyond the pottery wheel.
