Join us on July 11, 2026 as we visit our 2nd Smalltown Downtown Discovery Series.
This month, we take the T+T van to Historic Paint Bank, VA. We will begin our day touring Tingler’s Mill, to observe the inner workings of a circa 1883 water-powered Grist Mill. From there we walk over to the lovely Lemon Hotel to admire the period décor and learn more about the history of Paint Bank.
Our Lunch spot: The Swinging bridge an hour of casual dining and lively conversation. Post lunch- shopping at the infamous Paint Bank General Store for goodies to take home.
We will board the T+T van for home and stopping at the Paint Bank Fish Hatchery for a looksee on this year’s trout rearing and stocking process. Observe approximately 1.6 million trout in various stages of development swimming in huge concrete pools.
PRICE PER PERSON: $34.00 pp. The full amount is due when the reservation is made.
PRICE INCLUDES: Roundtrip parks and recreation transit van transportation, and a tour host. Lunch is at your own expense.
DEPARTURE TIME AND LOCATIONS: The van will depart at 10:30AM City of Roanoke Public Works Bldg. 1802 Courtland Rd, NE. Return time to Roanoke is around 4:30PM

Cancellation Policy: This trip requires a minimum number of paid participants by the registration deadline. If the trip is canceled due to low enrollment, all participants will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made after the registration deadline will result in a 50% cancellation
