First United Methodist Church

Our mission is to make and mature disciples for the transformation of the world! Our History Our church was founded in 1832 and was served prior to that by a Circuit Rider. We have purchased an adjacent property and developed J.I.M.'s Place, a multi-purpose facility that serves the church and greater community. In 2000 we remodeled our fellowship hall and church kitchen, and we built a new multi-purpose worship addition in 2009. The new addition includes a "living room" which is a gathering space. The "Life Center" is a multi-purpose worship area, a caterer's kitchen, restrooms and the program staff offices.
