Details:
Did you know Ohio was home to a rodent the size of a black bear, the enigmatic dire wolf and the largest land carnivore of the Pleistocene? During the talk, you'll learn about the interesting mammals that called Ohio home at the end of the last Ice Age, many of which are now extinct. We'll also have fossils and casts of species like the mastodon, mammoth, giant beaver and dire wolf.
This program is part of Ohio Outdoors: Exploring Ohio’s Natural Resources, June's theme during America 250-Ohio's celebration of our state's heritage. Included with museum admission and free for Ohio History Connection members. No registration required.
