Larry McCray

Larry McCray, inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame (2024), is a leading modern blues artist known for his soul-soaked voice and commanding guitar work. His latest release, Heartbreak City, produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith, marks a direct and personal new chapter.
The album highlights McCray’s expressive vocals and guitar, with material ranging from soul-infused ballads to driving blues. Tracks like “Bye Bye Blues” reflect his early influences, while “Bright Side” showcases his balance of emotion and subtle humor.
The release follows Blues Without You (2022), which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Blues chart. Born in Smackover, Arkansas, and raised in Michigan, McCray built his career through decades of touring and recording, working alongside artists such as B.B. King and Buddy Guy.
