Join us for our next Equine Emergency First Aid Certification Class, designed to equip horse owners and enthusiasts with the skills to administer immediate care to horses in emergency situations until veterinary assistance is available.
Our classes are taught by credentialed veterinary technicians and participants will work on live horses.
Registration Fee: $74.95 per person
Materials Included: Participants will receive an 88-page, full-color reference guide available as an interactive e-book. A printed copy can be added for an additional $24.95.​
Certification: Upon completion, attendees will earn a certification in Equine Emergency First Aid, valid for two years.​
Additional Benefits: A two-year membership to our online Animal Emergency Resource Center is included, providing access to a wealth of resources such as video tutorials, articles, and helpful websites.​
Class Topics:
Handling and Restraint: Techniques for safely transporting and restraining sick or injured horses.
Triage and Physical Examination: Performing assessments to obtain vital signs and evaluate the horse's condition.​
Injury Management: Addressing traumatic injuries such as wounds and fractures, including the application of emergency leg splints.​
First Aid Skills: Learn to manage a number of common equine medical emergencies and more.
Continuing Education Credits:
This class is approved by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) RACE to offer 4.00 CE credits for veterinary technicians. ​
Additional Information:
Registration Deadline: Participants are encouraged to register at least six business days prior to the class to allow for adequate preparation. Registrations are accepted up to the day of the class with an additional $5 late fee.​
