Junior Art Institute – Fine Arts – Session 1

The Junior Art Institute and Summer Art Institute are exciting 2-week programs running from July 13 to July 24, 2026, at the Allyn J. Washington Center in Poughkeepsie, New York.

The programs cater to two age groups:

1. **Junior Art Institute for Ages 11-14** offers skill-building in Fine Arts and Digital Arts. Students in the Fine Arts track will explore drawing, painting, figure drawing, and stop motion animation, while the Digital Arts track focuses on digital illustration, animation, and experimental printmaking. All participants will develop their artistic skills through hands-on techniques, receive guidance from industry professionals, and foster a supportive community for young artists.

2. **Summer Art Institute for Ages 14-19** features an accelerated curriculum with intensive tracks in Digital Arts and Fine Arts. Students will master advanced techniques such as 2D and 3D art concepts, portfolio development, and various contemporary practices.

Each program emphasizes creativity, artistic expression, and community-building, while students will have opportunities for feedback and exploration of diverse materials.
