Summer Art Institute – Digital Arts – Session 2 – 3-week Track

Join us for the Summer Art Institute, a comprehensive 3-week program designed for aspiring artists aged 14-19, running from July 27 to August 14, 2026, at the Allyn J. Washington Center at Dutchess Community College, Poughkeepsie, New York. This intensive portfolio-building experience is divided into two tracks: Digital Arts and Fine Arts.

In the Digital Arts track, students will hone their skills in Digital Illustration, Mixed-Media Animation, and Color & Human Figure, creating dynamic digital artworks, stop-motion animations, and original characters. In contrast, the Fine Arts track focuses on Painting & Drawing, Color & Human Figure, and Experimental Printmaking, allowing students to engage with still lifes and live models while exploring contemporary art techniques.

Participants will receive constructive feedback from professional artists, engage in portfolio reviews with college representatives, and connect with their peers. Both tracks encourage exploration of new materials and foster the development of unique, mature portfolios. Classes run Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
