Join us for engaging community activities suitable for various age groups in San Antonio. At the Central Library (600 Soledad, San Antonio, TX 78205), the Financial Empowerment Assistance event has been cancelled. However, financial representatives were available to assist adults and older adults in learning about banking, saving, debt management, credit, and legacy planning. For more details, contact Patricia Perez at (210) 207-2500 or via email at Patricia.Perez@sanantonio.gov.
For kids, the Las Palmas Library (515 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237) is offering the 4-H Robotics Essentials Series, specifically Session 2, titled "What's What." This six-week program, hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, will teach participants about robotics, programming, and careers in the field while allowing them to build and program robots using LEGO SPIKE PRIME. It is free of charge for school-aged kids. For inquiries, reach out to Lily Treviño at lilia.trevino@sanantonio.gov.
Additionally, at the Schaefer Library (6322 US Hwy 87 East, San Antonio, TX 78222), families and children aged 5 and up can participate in "Fort Building Fun" during the Children's Summer with SAPL program. Young architects and adventurers can let their imaginations run wild with provided fort-building materials. Adult supervision is recommended for younger children. For more information, contact Leslie Elsasser at leslie.elsasser@sanantonio.gov.
