Detweiler Park is the largest of Dauphin County's eight public parks, spanning 400-411 acres. It offers over 7 miles of trails through diverse ecosystems including meadows, forests, and streams, making it ideal for hiking, birdwatching, and wildlife observation. The park features a StoryWalk® for families and is managed by the Dauphin County Parks & Recreation Department. A "Friends of Detweiler Park" group was established in August 2024 to support its preservation and conservation.
