YWCA Union County provides support and services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout Union County. They will be tabling at the library to share information about volunteer opportunities, including:
24-Hour Crisis Response Team Advocate
Provide crisis intervention and advocacy to domestic violence survivors on location at police stations in Union County at the time of an incident.
24-Hour Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate
Provide compassionate, trauma‑informed support to survivors of sexual violence at designated hospitals in Union County.
24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline
Provide resources, referrals, advocacy, support and intervention to callers seeking information.
Court Advocacy
Provide emotional support and legal options to domestic violence survivors applying for a restraining order at the Union County Courthouse on weekday mornings.
Notes: Volunteers must be over 18 years of age and complete a 40-Hour Training Program. All positions are in-person. Bilingual (English/Spanish) speakers are highly encouraged.
