Try your hand at being a Vector Control Biologist and help solve real wildlife cases! Join Alameda County Vector Control to learn about the urban wildlife exploring our backyards. Discover the pros and cons of raccoons, skunks and opossums. We’ll show you how to keep you and wildlife safe. You’ll see exciting videos, hear real stories, and may even meet some local wildlife! Recommended for ages 8+. This program is a part of the AC Library's 2026 Summer Adventure: Creature Quest. Complete activities, reading, and more to receive a book gift and prize drawing entries. Embark on your own Summer Adventure June 1 - August 1 at any AC library location (including our mobile library stops) and online at aclibrary.org/summer . Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests! An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) days in advance.
