Join us in welcoming trained therapy dogs and their handlers from the Ohlone Humane Society. These very friendly pups will be at the library, ready to listen to you read once a month. If you are interested in reading to a dog, check in at the Community Meeting Room in the front of the library at the beginning of the program. A ticket will give you ten minutes of reading with our therapy dog. This program is for children to practice their reading skills. Priority is given to elementary school-age children who are working on these skills. Tickets will be available for the following reading sessions: 3:30 pm 3:40 pm 3:50 pm 4:00 pm 4:10 pm 4:20 pm Bring your favorite book to read or choose one at the library while you wait. No registration necessary. Registering will provide you with a reminder email of the event. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests! An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven business days in advance.
