NBSTCC Shark School

Join us for an exciting day at NBSTCC with two engaging programs designed to educate and inspire!

First, explore the fascinating world of Gulf Coast sharks at the NBSTCC Shark School. This program, running from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, will introduce participants to the biology and conservation of sharks while dispelling common myths surrounding these misunderstood creatures. Activities include shark-themed arts and crafts, a shark tooth treasure hunt (valued at $10), and participants will receive a Certificate of Completion along with early entrance to the NBSTCC. Tickets are required for this program, with participant prices at $15.00 and guest prices at $8.00.

Following Shark School, you can become an Honorary Animal Care Team member! This immersive 90-minute experience includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the conservation center, an introduction to the resident green sea turtle Sweet Pea, and hands-on activities with NBSTCC's tortoises, Flip Flop and Safari. Participants will receive an Honorary ACT Certificate, free admission to the NBSTCC, a personal picture with the tortoises, and the chance to learn from our knowledgeable Animal Care Team about various species and conservation efforts. Pre-purchased tickets are required for this unique experience.

Please note that NBSTCC has a "No Refund Policy" to ensure a smooth operation and a memorable experience for all guests. As NBSTCC opens to the public at 10 AM, the last 30 minutes of Shark School may overlap with public visitors. We look forward to welcoming you to NBSTCC for a day of fun and learning!
