Join us for the "Unearth a Story" events, featuring both a Young Author's Writing Contest and a Summer Reading Art Contest!
For the writing contest, participants of all grades from Kindergarten through 12th are invited to craft an original story relating to this year’s theme, which encompasses elements like dinosaurs, history, archaeology, and genealogy. Entry forms are available at the 1st Floor Information Desk, and submissions will be accepted from June 1 to August 15 on numbered paper, limited to a maximum of 5,000 words. Handwritten or typed entries are acceptable, and creativity with illustrations is encouraged. Ensure that your submission follows the guidelines, including the absence of identifying information.
Simultaneously, the Summer Reading Art Contest invites individuals of all ages—Preschool, 5-8, 9-12, Teens 13-17, Adults 18-64, and Seniors 65—to showcase their artistic talents. Participants can express their interpretation of the "Unearth a Story" theme using various art media. Artworks can be submitted beginning May 30 and must be provided by 5 PM on July 11. Entry forms and additional details are also available at the 1st Floor Information Desk or at nampalibrary.org/summerart.
Don’t miss the opportunity to share your creativity and potentially win prizes in your age category!
