Celebrate the nation’s founding through a local lens with the Middle Tennessee State University Honors College’s “Lunch and Learn” Series at Cannonsburgh Village, in the Murfreesboro Jaycees building, part of Cannonsburgh Village and the University’s ongoing commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary. Attendees should bring their own lunches to enjoy during the sessions.
From June 30 through July 3, faculty experts will explore the ideas, conflicts, and cultural expressions that shaped the American Revolution and its enduring impact. Each session takes place from noon to 1 p.m., offering a convenient opportunity for community members, students, and history enthusiasts to engage with timely scholarship in a relaxed, historic setting.
In addition, Honors College Dean John Vile will feature a historical exhibit in the Jaycees building throughout June and July, providing visitors with an extended opportunity to explore artifacts and interpretations connected to America’s founding era. www.murfreesborotn.gov/calendar.aspx?EID=50054
