Join us for Week 7 of Discovery Center’s USA 250 Summer Programming as we journey to the Rocky Mountains with Dreaming of Rocky Mountain National Park.
In this imaginative adventure, readers meet Orion the Owl, who would rather stay awake than go to sleep. But once he finally drifts off, he embarks on an extraordinary dream journey through time. Along the way, Orion encounters towering dinosaurs, woolly mammoths, and the people who lived in the Rocky Mountain region long before it became a national park.
After the story, families can participate in hands-on activities inspired by the history, wildlife, and natural wonders of the Rocky Mountains. Together, we’ll explore how this iconic American landscape has changed over millions of years and discover the many stories hidden within its mountains, forests, and valleys.
