Join us for a special summer exhibit titled "250 Years of Commemorating American Independence," developed in collaboration with Cannonsburgh Village and MTSU Honors College Dean John R. Vile. Running from June 16th to August 31st, this exhibit showcases prints and artifacts that illustrate how Americans have celebrated their independence over the past two and a half centuries, all within Cannonsburgh's authentic recreation of 19th- and early 20th-century Tennessee life. The exhibit will culminate with the launch of the Fall 2026 Buchanan Lecture Series on August 31st. Dean Vile will kick off the opening on June 16th with talks at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m., and no reservations are required. Additionally, enjoy "Cannonsburgh Crafts: Patriotic Creations," where visitors of all ages can create patriotic crafts for free, weather permitting.
