July 2nd through the 30th, we welcome Taryn Troiani and James Abicunas as our featured July gallery artists. Both artists belong to the Schuylkill County Allied Artists.

This is a free event and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided along with good conversation and great art.

Taryn Troiani
"I am a painter and mixed media artist from Frackville. I began my art career in college and studied
painting with several art professionals in the Lehigh Valley. My work in graphic design and technical
illustration at AT&T Microelectronics in Allentown introduced me to a variety of techniques and
technology that became an important element in my development as an artist. I find inspiration in the
beauty and complexity of the natural world, the work of the Impressionists, Abstract Expressionist
artists and the art and designs of ancient civilizations. I embrace the challenge of combining color,
texture, and various materials in my work to create compositions that involve the viewer in the space I
invent to entertain, question, and connect with a memory, experience or an appreciation of beauty."

James J. Abicunas
James is a self-taught artist who specializes in portraits that capture the subject's expressions and emotions. James works primarily in oils, but also works with charcoal, pastels, acrylics and watercolors. He's always been inspired by the Masters: Rembrandt, Monet and Van Gogh.
