This hands-on aviation technology camp prepares teens to earn their FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot License. In partnership with the Town of Bloomsburg Airport and the local EAA chapter, students learn flight safety, airspace rules, weather, navigation, and drone operation through both classroom instruction and field practice. Learn about the properties of flight and airplane design with the Susquehanna Valley Modelers. By the end of the week, participants gain the skills and knowledge needed to take the FAA drone certification exam and begin pursuing real-world careers in aviation, surveying, and advanced manufacturing.
