Details:
This walking group blends low impact walking with intentional stretching. Sessions will focus on personal goal setting and attaining fitness goals. Participants will receive a fitness walking journal to help set goals, use to record progress in between meeting dates, and help participants to reach goals throughout the summer. At the conclusion of the walking program, there will be a short yoga stretching session. The library will provide mats for this portion of the program. Perfect for patrons seeking to get moving this summer in a peaceful, outdoor, mindful experience. Register once and you will be registered for all walking sessions. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic footwear.
*Attend the first session and receive a steel water bottle. Collect stickers to decorate the bottle everytime you attend. Stay hydrated and motivated to workout this summer!
This offsite program will take place in the parks around Williamsport. Please meet at the following locations:
6/24- Brandon Park- 900 Packer St. Williamsport (Meet in parking lot near band shell)
7/8- Shaw Place Park- 1501 Sherman St. Williamsport (Meet on sidewalk near parking lot)
7/22- Old Lycoming Park- 2001 Upper Green Ave. Williamsport
8/5- Williamsport Community Park- 545 E. Central Ave. South Williamsport (Meet in pavilion)
8/19- Brandon Park- 900 Packer St. Williamsport (Meet in parking lot near band shell)
This program is designed to accompany the Gentle Yoga program on Wednesdays at the library from 10:00am-11:00am. Please register for both programs.
