School Age Storytime

Come and join us as Mary Baumann retells the story of Something from Nothing by Phoebe Gilman. This story shows how a grandfather who made a special blanket for his newborn grandson repurposes it to become a jacket, vest, tie, handkerchief, and finally a button. When the grandson loses the button, he decides to preserve the memories by writing a story. After the story, have your child retell a favorite story of their own while making their own book and drawing/writing about their fond memories.

This program is for children 5-8 years old.

Guardians must stay in the building and are welcome to join if they would like.
